Hal F. Rosenbluth

Chairman and CEO

Hal F. Rosenbluth is Chairman and CEO of New Ocean Health Solutions. Motivated to improve patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs and maximize health, well-being and workforce productivity, New Ocean is realigning the incentives in healthcare for the benefit of all stakeholders through its first offering, a mobile-first enterprise platform as a service (PaaS) that includes a fully customized application suite of personalized programs for employers, health plan providers and health systems.

Most recently, Rosenbluth was President, Walgreen’s Health and Wellness and a senior executive officer with Walgreen Co., where he was responsible for $48 of the $63 billion in company sales and client services revenue. With a focus on health and wellness, he redesigned and restructured Walgreen’s entire go-to market strategy. Rosenbluth was also able to make third party sales thanks to his newly-forged and enhanced relationships in both commercial and government sectors, which included managed care, hospital systems and pharmacy benefits.

Rosenbluth joined Walgreen Co. in 2007 when they acquired Take Care Health Systems (TCHS), a healthcare start-up company he co-founded and funded along with angel investors in 2004. Shortly after opening they opened their first retail clinic, private equity firm Beecken Petty O’Keefe funded TCHS, which was subsequently acquired by Walgreens.

As part of this transition, Rosenbluth led TCHS to become the largest and most comprehensive provider of retail clinics and worksite health and wellness centers in the country, with more than 700 locations nationwide. In his position at Walgreens, Rosenbluth helped shape the strategic repositioning of Walgreens from a drug store company to a “health and daily living” company, thus creating and leveraging valuable new revenue streams and synergies to the more than 8,100 Walgreens store locations throughout the country. Today, there are more than 400 clinics at Walgreens locations in 35 markets and 19 states.

In March 2007, Rosenbluth led the creation of Take Care Health Employer Solutions, formed through acquisition and strategic alignment of CHD Meridian Healthcare and Whole Health Management, the two leading providers of workplace-based healthcare services. Take Care Health Employer Solutions designed, built, staffed and managed employer-sponsored health centers, pharmacies and fitness centers to serve the health and wellness needs of a company’s workers and their dependents.

The Employer Solutions Group currently operates 350 workplace health centers and pharmacies in 45 states. Along with being considered one of the first founders of the retail clinical care space, Rosenbluth is the creator of the Convenient Care Association, an association formed to establish standards of care in the newborn industry. He was honored as the first recipient of the association’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his industry success in reforming state and federal regulations, leading to greater access to high quality and affordable healthcare.

In 2010, Rosenbluth oversaw Walgreens Health Initiatives, a pharmacy benefit management company. With an opportunity for the company to turn competitors into new sales channels, Rosenbluth promoted and oversaw the sale of the company’s PBM to Catalyst Healthcare Solutions.

He is credited with creating the Walgreens Corporate Innovation Team in 2009, which contributed $2 billion dollars in annual incremental sales to the company and subsequently earned Walgreens the recognition as one of the Top Innovative Companies in the country by Fast Company magazine. Additionally, Hal was responsible for the creation of the first clinical office for Walgreens focusing on evidence-based provision of care, clinical quality, patient safety, clinical outcomes and the oversight of thousands of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Prior to his success in healthcare industry, Rosenbluth transformed a $20 million local travel agency in Philadelphia to a $6-billion-dollar global travel management company with owned operations in 35 countries. During that period the company created a new industry, held various patents on electronic fare calculation and interactive booking software and served the single-sourced global account needs of Fortune 1000 and international companies.

During this period, Fortune magazine named Rosenbluth International as one of the Hundred Best Companies to Work for in America, Service Company of the Year by acclaimed author of In Search of Excellence Tom Peters, and received numerous corporate awards such as Intel’s Supplier of the Year. Rosenbluth’s early recognition of turning data into actionable knowledge kept the company at the forefront of the industry, prior to selling it to American Express in 2003

Rosenbluth is the New York Times bestselling author of The Customer Comes Second, a book focusing on how to create a great service organization by first focusing on your colleagues and creating an environment so they may focus singularly on the needs of the customer. The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, Inc. magazine, CIO magazine and The Financial Times have recognized Rosenbluth as an unconventional leader, a visionary and a trendsetter. Rosenbluth has been an invited guest by corporations and universities to speak on entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation.

Rosenbluth is the recipient of the Marco Polo Award by the U.S.-China Foundation for International Exchanges and the Humanitarian Award, presented by the Foundation of Christians and Jews, along with being the recipient of the Business Enterprise Trust Award. In 2009, Rosenbluth was elected to the Fellowship of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the nation’s oldest medical society. In 2010 he was the recipient of the Raymond Rafferty Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, which honors those who have founded successful venture-backed companies and greatly influenced a specific industry with pioneering ideas.

Rosenbluth earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Miami in 1974 and previously served as a member of the University’s Board of Trustees. Rosenbluth resides with his family in Gladwyne, PA and raises Red Angus cattle at his ranch in Linton, ND.

Joseph Terrion

President

Joe Terrion came to New Ocean Health Solutions possessing a strong sales and marketing background and tremendous ability in resource management, problem solving, negotiation and decision making in high-profile environments. As a senior executive at Rosenbluth International, American Express and most recently Walgreens, Joe has excelled in recognizing market trends and has the ability to formulate, direct, and control sales and marketing strategies to facilitate growth and profit opportunities.

He has successfully led these organizations in international business acquisition, development, and expansion and has a phenomenal track record in attracting, training, developing, and managing teams of highly motivated management and sales professionals. Through strong communications, organizational leadership and always leading by example, Joe obtains superior results.

Terrion was most recently Group Vice President and Chief Client Officer of Walgreen Co., overseeing $47 billion dollars in company sales and $2.5 billion in corporate profitability, leading five divisional vice presidents and 250 salespeople. He developed Walgreens’ first B2B sales organization designed around six client segments (PBM’s, Health Systems, Health Plan Providers, Government, Employers, and the Individual Market). Under Joe’s leadership, revenue growth climbed at a 10% run rate on a year-over-year basis and profitability grew over 15% year over year.

Prior to joining Walgreens, Terrion was Vice President General Manager, Global Client Group at American Express, where he was responsible for an $800 million global P&L, representing half of the American Express Global Travel Business. From 2004 to 2009, revenues grew 12% and PTI improved by 15% annually.

At Rosenbluth International, Terrion was Vice President of Global Sales, Operations and Supplier Relations and responsible for managing Global Field Operation’s Profits and Loss, overseeing six regional vice presidents managing $6 billion in revenues and a workforce of 3,800 people.

Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of New Hampshire at Plymouth.

Marnie Hall

Chief Strategy Marketing Officer

Marnie Hall is New Ocean Health Solutions’ Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer. She oversees the strategic planning, development, and execution of marketing, PR, communications, and advertising initiatives that maximize media exposure and elevate New Ocean’s brand. In partnership with the Chairman & CEO, Marnie is responsible for shaping New Ocean’s narrative and positioning strategy—translating complex health and technology solutions into clear, compelling messaging for employers, health plans, partners, and the public. Her work spans New Ocean’s website, digital campaigns, social platforms, sponsored content, and strategic media partnerships.

Marnie’s background in journalism, storytelling, and digital media made her move into the healthcare technology space both seamless and successful. Before joining New Ocean, she held leadership roles at Philadelphia Media Network and regional video and marketing production firms, guiding messaging strategy, creative direction, and brand storytelling across digital channels. As Senior Producer for Philly.com, she developed and produced the daily news and business program Philly.com Express, and created the One Great Idea series, featuring thought leaders in business, politics, philanthropy, science, and the arts. She also served as the lead writer, producer, and on-camera reporter for some of the site’s most-viewed digital news programs, while overseeing creative direction for commercial and sponsored video content.

Marnie’s strategic communications work extends to her own production company, where she developed media and brand content for corporate, nonprofit, entertainment, university, medical, and research clients in New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Prior to her digital media career, Marnie was a documentary producer for A&E Network, CBS, WHYY (PBS), and co-authored a weekly column for the City Paper. Most recently, she co-authored a book Hypochondria: What’s Behind the Hidden Costs of Healthcare in America (Rodin Books) with Hal Rosenbluth. The book examines illness anxiety and how fear, misinformation, and misaligned incentives are quietly driving healthcare spending—an eye-opener for all Americans and leaders focused on changing the system.

Marnie is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications.

Steve Kay

Vice President, Information Services and Security

Steve is a goal-driven technology executive dedicated to delivering strategically agile, secure solutions. At New Ocean, he determines the best use of technical resources to implement and support the infrastructure for the company’s dynamic enterprise health integration platform on both web and mobile devices. Steve oversees both the Business Analysis and Quality Assurance teams, is responsible for information security and compliance and handles all technology purchasing and support.

Prior to joining New Ocean, Steve was responsible for the selection, deployment and support of all technology for Take Care Health Systems, a component of the health and wellness division of Walgreens. Joining the company at its inception, he designed and deployed the infrastructure required to support the technical needs of more than 400 retail clinics and 1,500 healthcare professionals across the country. He later served four years as the manager of Database Architecture for Walgreens, where he managed a team responsible for the architecture and support of all Microsoft SQL Server resources.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Master of Science degree from Indiana University.
